Sport Camps
UROCK Youth Climbing Camp - June 22- 26th & July 6-10th, 2009
This camp is intended for teenagers wanting to build a solid foundation of rock climbing skills. This experience
is appropriate for total beginners to indoor climbers wanting to transition skills outside. The
first 2 days will be spent evaluating and improving basic climbing skills, movements and belaying.
Climbers will learn on our indoor wall as well as on real rock outdoors at Ralph Stover State Park. Technical
classes will be delivered covering knots, anchor building, movement, lead belaying, and rappelling.
As a small group this camp will ensure individual attention and students can expect to build a solid understanding
of outdoor rock climbing.
Penn is the only facility in the Philadelphia area that offers climbing instruction from certified American
Mountain Guides Association (AMGA) climbing instructors. The AMGA is the only nationally certifying
body for the US and is part of the International Federation of Mountain Guides. All lead guides in this course are certified by the AMGA. For more information please contact Paul Haraf.
Penn Elite Field Hockey Camp - August 2-5, 2009
The Penn Elite Camp is designed for players entering grades 10
through pre-college and preferably have varsity high school
experience. All play is held on the artificial turf surface on
historic Franklin Field. Our experienced staff is

Penn Girls Basketball Elite Summer Camp - June 12-14, 2009
This elite camp format is for any high school players who also seek a strong academic environment. Stations are taught and games are played, but there are NCAA Eligibility, Academic Advising and Strength Training sessions as well. Check Back Early Spring to Register Online!
Quaker Boys Elite Basketball Summer Camp - June 19-21, 2009
The Penn Basketball Elite Camp format is for any high
school players who seek a strong academic and athletic
camp environment. Campers will have the opportunity
to work with the Penn staff during stations and
games. Training sessions will also be held to inform
campers of the college process.
Quaker Basketball Camp at The Palestra -
This Quaker Basketball Camp for Boy and Girls ages 7-16 will provide each camper with a great opportunity for growth and success. Our staff is comprised of enthusiastic, hard-working collegiate and high school coaches as well as members of the Penn men’s and women’s team, who will work closely with the campers on the fundamentals and team concepts of the game. It is our intention to help each camper have an enjoyable week where they will strive for excellence while having fun at the historic Palestra.
Penn Summer Classic Baseball Camp - June 19-21, 2009
This Summer Classic Baseball Camp is a must for any player
(ages 13-18)
interested in improving his total game. The camp will be teaching-oriented, but will also be used as an avenue for the player to compete at the next level. Each player will receive feed back from their coach at the conclusion of camp. The campers will be exposed to the campus of the University of Pennsylvania. We invite you to join us for an exciting baseball experience in scenic Philadelphia.
Quaker Rowing Camp - July 13-18, July 20 - 25, and August 3-8, 2009
The Quaker Rowing Camp is designed for both the experienced and novice high school rower (ages 14-18) looking to significantly improve their rowing ability. Instruction and coaching will be geared to the experience level and talents of each camper. The camp includes two daily practices on the water as well as active seminars on erg training and body circuits.
Penn Volleyball Camp - August 6 - 9, 2009 (girls ages 14-18)
Players of all levels and positions are encouraged to attend this camp. Players will be grouped by skill level for an individual development experience where one can maximize her potential and improve to the next level of play. Check Back Early Spring to Register Online!

Day Camps
This day camp program is designed to benefit both male and female players between the ages
of 6 and 13. It offers players of various skill levels the opportunity to improve their soccer skills
while increasing their love of the game. Focus will be on development of individual skills
taught through fun exercises, daily competitions and small sided games. Each day campers
also get time to swim.

Advanced Academy - Ages 10-14, girls only (teams and individuals accepted!)
This intense week of training and small sided games focuses on skill development and decision
making in a small group arena. Sessions will build quickly from technical repetition and
skill development to dynamic games and exercises
that will require decision making and
execution of skills in match situations.
- High School Team Pre-Season Camp - Only ten teams accepted
This camp will help prepare your team for the season. Our curriculum will include daily fitness
and technical training. We will incorporate tactical development in the afternoon sessions. The
evening games will be structured in a league-type format to enhance competitive play, and will
include team development activities as well as leadership seminars.
Al Bagnoli All-Star Football Camps - July 19 - 22, 2009 (overnight camp)
The objective of this camp is to introduce, develop and reinforce the fundamental of football for both interior and perimeter plays. This camp is open to any player entering grades 9-12 in the fall of 2009.

Penn Fencing Camp - July 19 - 25, 2008 & July 26 - August 1, 2009
Each camper will acquire a better understanding of practice techniques, fundamental actions, bout structure, strategy, tactics and conditioning. The material of the camp program should enable the camper to be more effective in training and competing during the following season. Individual lessons are geared toward each fencer’s particular needs.

Anthropologists in the Making - June 22 - August 14, 2009
Adventurous children ages 7 through 13 can participate in Anthropologists in the Making, a day camp organized by Penn Museum's Education Department. Through interactive gallery tours, art activities, games and special guest performances, campers travel through time and across continents.
